Therapy. Online. India & beyond

A space
to feel, to witness
& to untangle

Warm, thoughtful space for the way you are actually doing

You do not need a crisis to begin. Sometimes wanting things to feel lighter is reason enough.

Anukankshaa, counselling psychologist at Prakasa Therapy Hello, I am Anukankshaa

What Prakasa means to me

Prakāśa means "light of consciousness" in Buddhist and Shaiva philosophies, and it is also a part of my own name. From childhood, I have been drawn to what moves people, how they find their way through the world, and what drives them in life. What I keep returning to is the light. To me, it is also the sunlight, the source of energy. This space is my attempt to build a practice that carries that warmth.

What I offer

Three ways we can work together

Every plan is built around you, because there is no single right way to do this work. Sessions are 50 minutes, with 80 minutes available when something needs more room.

Focused, short-term therapy

Individual therapy of 50 or 80 minutes, for a specific concern you want to work through with a clear intention behind it.

Exploratory therapy

Rebuilding a connection with yourself, exploring relational patterns, and meeting the parts of your story you have not looked at yet.

Compassion circles

Shared healing in a small, supportive setting, where the group holds space for everyone in it.

How I work

Therapy that fits the person, not the other way round

Internal Family Systems

We get to know the different parts of you, the ones that protect and the ones that ache, and how they learned to work together.

Narrative Therapy

Your stories shape you, and you get to shape them back. We separate the problem from the person, and re-author what comes next.

CBT, Adlerian and psychodynamic ideas

When you want something shorter and more goal-focused, I draw on CBT techniques, along with Adlerian and psychodynamic concepts and Indian Psychology.

If you are here, you are at a turning point

You do not need to have it all figured out to start

Tap a word to see if it sounds like you.

Something feels heavy and you cannot quite name why, so it keeps sitting there. You carry it around all day and it colours everything else.

You are doing everything you are supposed to, and still feel like you are running on empty. The things that once mattered have gone quiet.

The same pattern shows up in your relationships and you are tired of arriving back at it. You want it to change and you are not sure how.

You are surrounded by people and still feel unseen. You want to understand yourself better, without needing a crisis to justify it.

Therapy is one place where none of that has to be tidied up before you walk in. We can start exactly where you are.
